Tube Design Tips
Creating artwork can be tricky, so we’ve got some tips on making the most of your canvas. If you’re struggling, we offer a FREE in-house design service.
Artwork
All artwork must be supplied as CMYK print-ready artwork with 3mm bleed and crop marks. PDFs are ideal but we can accept packaged .psd, .indd and .ai files.
Dimensions
We can provide artwork templates for all tube and tin sizes for you to utilise. As a guide the print area on our Small Tubes and Tins measures 207mm x 124mm and on Large Tubes it measures 248mm x 161.5mm.
Top tips
Use an equal column approach when considering your design, you can only see a third of the tube on the smaller tube or a quarter on larger tube at any one time.
Avoid using a design that connects across the overlay section, as it does not always line up perfectly. An ideal solution is a block of colour – you could even use this section to hold your call to action.
These are a legal requirement and must be on the tube or tin somewhere. We can provide templates with this detail for all our products.
The centre of the artwork is the best area to use as your focal point as it offers no distractions due to glue lines or similar.
Leave space for ingredients, allergens and best before dates, along with an address or contact details for traceability.
Call-off Orders
Our call-off order service allows you to maximise your budget and manage your campaign with the minimum of fuss. It gives you bulk order savings, but doesn’t require you to pay the full invoice or receive the full delivery in one go. You simply schedule when you want deliveries within a 12 month period and we invoice per delivery. Design detail and contents can be varied within the order.
Fantastic for your rolling marketing program and takes away the pressure of reordering and managing aging stock.
The Call-off Process
We pack to order so you can be reassured as a rule your gift tubes always contain fresh stock with a shelf-life of at least 6 months. That’s plenty of time to distribute to your customers or take to an event.
Agree your call-off dates for the coming 12 months. You can order in multiples of 100 for small tubes, 64 for large tubes and 48 for tins.
We will automatically schedule your call-off deliveries so you don’t need to worry about remembering to re-order.
